About Us
Leyden Lewis Design Studio is a Brooklyn-based firm that has created and curated poetic and culturally sensitive spaces for over thirty years. LLDS has been included in the Architectural Digest’s AD-100 in 2021, 2022, 2023 and ELLE Décor’s A List in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022.
Leyden Lewis Design Studio has also been published in Business of Home, Metropolitan Home, the New York Times, Interior Design Magazine, NY Magazine’s The Cut, The Washington Post, the Daily News, House Beautiful, Design Hunting, among many more.

Founder and Creative Director
Leyden Lewis’ received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Architecture from Parsons School of Design, The New School. He has continued to teach at the Parsons School of Design at The New School, as well as the New York School of Interior Design throughout his career.
Leyden’s design aesthetic is at once rooted in a rich classical Modernism coupled with ancient traditions and methodologies. He operates from a deep interest in art and the history of design to tell a new and modern stories. Our practice engages with the cultures of the past and present, and allows for a fluid integration between art, architecture, and design.
As a fine artist, Leyden has exhibited at the Studio Museum in Harlem and at NYU’s 80WSE. He has the honor of being a Kips Bay Decorator Show House alumnus.
Leyden is a Founding Member of the Black Artists + Designers Guild (BADG).
